I recently lit a cigarette in the dark, only to be taken aback by a rather fould taste. I had lit the wrong end!
I cut the filter in half to expose the clean part...
I smoked half of the cigarette then started to wonder about health issues.
Could what I did be dangerous? I know smoking in general is dangerous but could this cause any side effects?
Just wondered.
Regards and thankyou in advance

Do the filters have fibreglass in them? Beyond me why anyone would want to suck THAT into their lungs.
-
where did u get fibreglass from?? most filters are made from cellulose acetate

What does the filter filter out anyway?

These so-called filters are a load of rubbish. The other day I sucked on a cigarette and as much smoke came through as ever.

I think filters filter out larger particles from the smoke so pat there would be as much smoke as a normal cigerette, if I'm right, but I'm probably not.
Am I dead? Am I alive? I'm both!

Filter out tar may be? This is the substance that cause lung cancer. But I could be wrong.

There are many chemicals that cause lung cancer, well cancer in general.
Might be easier if I explain it like this...
The chemicals turn on and off switches in cells, it just takes the right combination for tissue to become mutated and start growing rapidly...Don't know if that makes sense...The bottom line is; filters filter out tar and a few chemical particles but the risks are still high. All you are really doing is breathing in chemicals that affect the way your body works.
Not really a good idea to smoke is it??? lol
