People have always taught me that time is a constant, which we all know is a lie (hence e=mc2), but for the benifits of teaching we just said well it may as well be cuz we can only reach a fraction of that speed anyway. We also try to calculate Pi, but we cant, because it is basicaly a discontinuity, it keeps chaging, the darn number keeps changing and we can never get the answer! Light, what a perculiar thing, why is it that the closer we get to it, the heavier we are...
So, in theory, if we travel the speed of light, time will stop (cease to exist) and we will become eternaly heavy. If this is true, it means that time realy doesnt mean anything, i.e everything has already happened. If light is travelling at the speed of light, and it isnt a wave its small packets or whatever (energy?), those packets too will find that time has no meaning. So whereever they are going, they are actualy alreay there!?!
Somebody please outline WHAT is time? if we mean time as the hands going around a clock, then that doesnt mean anything, all that is, is a measurement of distance on a small scale of the earth going around the sun. Which means what? everything time means to me is a comparison of one thing to another.
Now Pi, this is interesting... it seems that the entir population is obsessed with spheres, trying to calculate Pi so we can get the dimensions of a perfect sphere, well this in my opinion is not possible, i dont know how but im sure that there is no such thing as perfect sphere. to tell you the truth i havnt a clue what i am talking about, but im sure Pi is related in some way to time and light. Look at the world around us, the world was flat the other year, look how obvious it is that it wasnt, but we couldnt see the horizon so of course its not round! the answer to EVERYTHING must be staring us flat in the face its innevitable.
Someone please elaborrate because im mind boggled!!!
If there is no such thing as time, then everything has already happened, nothing means anything, we are all the same thing, distance doesn't exist, because distance is just a discription of HOW FAR, but at the same tim HOW MUCH TIME it takes to get to a certain place!!!

It takes a while Entropy....sometimes you have to exercicise patience here.....sometimes...it takes Time !!

if you're travelling at near the speed of light, you DON'T experience time slowing down (nor length contracting, nor mass increasing). Relativity says that in YOUR frame of reference, you continue to experience the same laws of physics whether you're moving uniformly or whether you're stationary.
But people who are stationary relative to you will see you as ageing more slowly, shrinking in length, and getting heavier - but you won't experience that yourself.
In other words, relativity theory says that YOUR time isn't the same as MY time.
So relativity doesn't imply that time is meaningless or that it doesn't exist - it just means that you can't talk about time as being something "absolute" - i.e. it's not experienced the same way by everybody.
This is still pretty mindboggling, of course, and I don't pretend to fully understand it.

Also, I can recommend the first few chapters of a book called "Three Roads to Quantum Gravity", by Lee Smolin, to help you understand the different way of thinking you have to apply to get your head around relativity. (It's a good layperson's book - no maths or physics knowledge required, written in plain English - but nevertheless quite profound / thought provoking.)
As for your query about Pi ... you've lost me ... what are you, some kind of weirdo?? [;)]

Maybe Entropy is a flat worlder. After all that is an error of only 8 inches per mile. A guy could be forgiven for that little amount of error, well almost [:)]
