Title: What are renewable versus Inexhaustible energy sources?
Post by: vishnu_agni on 18/02/2010 06:21:09
I find many science books and websites saying that solar energy is a renewable resource. But doesn't 'renewable' imply a cycle of replenishment. In that case- water and soil could be renewable (to different degrees) of course and solar energy would be 'inexhaustible'. Are you aware of any precise definition for these terms in scientific literature? And any curriculum materials that address this?

Thanks
Vishnu

You are absolutely right. Let us start a campaign to get all those solar panels covered up and stop wasting sunlight, which is after all, an exhaustible energy supply!
