Well To start with, I have no rash no known skin problems but for some reason from the time I was a wee thing, I have had an itchy back!I do however have one spot over a scar on my left shoulderblade which itches incessantly sometimes and no amount of scratching helps as I believe the nerves there from the surgery have something to do with it. Sometimes I can reach it with my sewing scissors sometimes I scratch in one spot and it satisfies the itch over the scar!! Isn't that odd, because the spot that feels like it itches is not really the spot that itches . LOLI think its the nerves. Anyway besides that spot Last night I was beside myself as I was so itchy on my back. I spent the good part of two hours scratching me back with my closed scissors as I can not reach the spots needing to be scratched.. But when I did OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH such wonderful joy and relief... It felt so good!! Why is there such pleasure in scratching an itchy back and Why does the itch get so intense at night? Is it physcho- sematic?? ( spelling sorry)

But I am sure ewe are suffering from Perssitantdrivingmenuts-a-back-an-itchimus !!...the only cure is a back transplant with a big furry bear so that ewe can rub up against palm trees !

Well Well Well!! You certainly pose your Question with much more eloquence then I did, but it seems you never got a definitive answer unless I overlooked it between YAWNS!!! LOL..Yawning and itching... SHEEESH!!
I have never seen a big furry bear anywhere near a palm tree, now that I think about it! HAve You?? LOL But a Bear and a tree yes I do believe that would work dandy!! I"ll leave the big furry back thing for you Kind Sir.. Me don't want to be any firrier then I am least it be upon me head of oh so thinning hair!! LOL
But yes it does feel so good to scratch, but so annoying when you just can't reach it even wuth the scissors, thats when I resort to the door frame , which is way less satisfying then a hand or my scissors..
Hey answer me this also?? Why does it not feel as good if it is my own hand scratching the itch. If someone else scratches it, then the pleasure is noticeably better!!.. Have you noticed that yourself! Kinda of like buying your favorite burger or deli sandwich, it never is as good unless someone else makes it. It's not the same if I do it myself!! All in me head I think!

Believe me..bears do rub against palm trees so that they can retrieve the milk filled bear eggs !!
