Title: Can you please explain the vibrations in this buzzing voice warm-up exercise?
Post by: ChildWrangler on 17/01/2015 12:08:37
Please can you explain this effect?

Stand with your feet slightly apart and your hands by your sides. Make a buzzing sound, one based on 'zzzzz' or 'vvvv' works best. Then, keeping your arms straight, raise your arms up at your sides. You reach a point where you feel the vibrations in your fingers. When I did this in a room full of people, we all found different 'buzz points' but everyone managed to do it.

I've asked some of the finest scientific minds I know but noone can explain it with any certainty.

The most logical explanation is that it's due to resonance through the bones BUT IS THIS RIGHT?  Help me Naked Scientists!
