who discovered the theory of general relativity??

This one's pretty easy: Einstein. In fact, last week the theory celebrated its 100th birthday. This was our coverage of the story: http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/interviews/interview/1001564/

Chris , there were other redoubtable scientists as well : Poincare, Hilbert, Minkowski and Lorentz etc to name a few , whose work Einstein used, but forgot to mention their contribution to the now acclaimed EGT of R. Thanks
