Title: How can plastic be made without oil?

We all know that the oil is running out. Quite apart from not burning fossil fuels to combat climate change, eventually, the oil is gonna run out anyway! We know there are alternatives to power our homes and businesses, but what about for making plastics? What can be used for this? It seems to be an aspect which little is said about.
