M asked the Naked Scientists:
From Wired magazine.
There is a YouTube video of a guy making a solar cell from powdered sugar donuts and passion fruit tea.
How does this work?
What do you think?

Apparently, powdered sugar contains titanium dioxide nanoparticles, a similar substance that is also used in paint. When that powder is subsequently coated with an organic dye (such as those colorful chemicals in passionfruit tea) it will be able to be utilized as a light-absorbing layer of a photovoltaic device.
