I understand in there tail bone they have a bone that disappears as they get older, but I can't remember why maybe a throw back to a tail from ancestors LOL As the baby begins to walk and their spine develops their spine changes and I can't remember if it just goes away or what!

I also heard something about a digit!

I cant remember if it was my  my child development classes or what..

I do know newborns bones consist mostly of cartlidge and not solid bone at birth. They do grow stronger and harder as they gro which enables advancement in physical skills and abilities!

I dont know what bones are different, but babies bones ossify (sp?) into the 206 we have as adults. They have around 300 clumps of cartilage that fuse together as they age.
