Title: why do I xeperience poor voice quality while inside in a moving elevator?
Post by: euieLC on 31/08/2010 07:11:11
hey guys,
I usually use my cellphone in an elevator/lift and I always encounter problems
with my signal. My call will either be dropped or the experience poor voice quality.
What are the things primarily affect my call and what do I need to do in the IBS
(In-Building Solution) to improve it?

A metal elevator is a Faraday cage ...

To a large degree though, they also shield the interior from external electromagnetic radiation if the conductor is thick enough and any holes are significantly smaller than the radiation's wavelength.

Same principle is applied here ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Booster_bag
