Title: Strange object in the sky
Post by: DoctorBeaver on 16/06/2007 10:33:52
This photo was taken at my stable yard. It has not been edited or altered in any way. What you see in the pic is exactly as the photo was taken. What is it?

Is it a parachute? I see something hanging down that is barely visible shaped like I drew. LOL

Haha, where is the parachuter, then?  [:o]

Maybe Ashtari can tell us what it is.

Maybe Ashtari can tell us what it is.

I was going to say that! Doc, this looks very much like an old ufo picture, are you sure it's from your back yard? Either way, i am convinced it's either aliens or god. I want to believe...

Hmmmn

I'm curious about 2 things...

Firstly, if it is an object, the light that is apparently lighting it up appears to be coming from the upper front. It's either early morning or dusk, and the sun (if it is an object) has nothing to do with it's illumination.
Secondly, (and perhaps it's only on my PC), but there is some strange effect going on with the underside of the tree on the right.

I don't agree with the drop of water theory, because the colours within the "spot" are pixelated.

Eth - Do you have any other info? Did it move, how long was it there for, did the intensity change at all? (and do you know what it is?)

As a thought, it might be the sun shining through a very small gap in the cloud, where the over-exposure in the region of the sun has caused a darkening on the bottom-right and the apparent intense brightness of the object itself, as well as the seemingly ovoid shape. I have seen the sun do something like this when there appears to be total cloud cover in the region of the sun.

?

Well done. It is the sun. Here are some other pics taken around the same time.

We were very surprised at the way the photo came out. The sun looks egg-shaped. It certainly put me in mind of some UFO pics I've seen; so perhaps this is what they were.

It has certainly made me wonder about what I previously thought were fairly convincing pics of UFOs.
