Title: mobile proton versus charge-remote fragmentation
Post by: BlooGoo on 03/03/2004 23:42:40
Does a peptide being ionized in a MALDI source fragment through mobile proton, or through charge-remote fragmentation?  data indicates MPM, but journals are leaning towards CRF.

Actually, the question should read, "using a MALDI source, is a peptide more likely to fragment through the mobile proton model, or could fragmentation be better explained through charge-remote fragmentation?"

any thoughts?
