A wave function may be treated as an “angular distribution function”. It has a 2D graph similar to a statistical distribution. The graph is a “bell curve”.
The angular distribution has features which are similar to the statistical distribution; including the mean, and “equivalent standard deviation”. The mean corresponds with the statistical mean, however the equivalent standard deviation includes a “data smoothing variable”.
The angular function also has additional features not usually associated with statistical distribution, these are; data amplitude, a frequency ratio, and a distribution angle.
Is it reasonable to assign statistical interpretation to a wave function?
