Title: Why Do Clouds Form Clusters?
Post by: Titanscape on 14/11/2011 06:20:07
Why do clouds form clusters instead of even dispersion with the rest of humidity?

I'm not sure if I get your question here? Do you wonder what makes different parts of the ground give of different parcels of heat?

Water and land have different temperatures, different types of ground, like rock as compared to grass release heat differently. Day and night does it differently, also the colours of the ground, and probably textures too, defines different heat releases. Then humidity in itself should play a part as well as winds and dust.

Started to think of chaos theory here, if that was what you meant?
Heh, found one interesting. Climate modeling. (http://www.aip.org/history/climate/GCM.htm) You will find a lot about cloud modeling in it.

I mean actually, that we can see clouds in bodies, or clusters, or the white material collected together. It is not evenly dispersed. Not looking at the ground.

Why do clouds always appear to form in distinct clumps? (http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=why-do-clouds-always-appe)

As well as "Clouds aren't just random droplets of water. What they are is tiny droplets of water that have condensed from water vapor in areas where the conditions (temperature, air pressure and humidity) are exactly right. Anywhere where you have the correct combination of these conditions, you'll get a cloud. Anywhere that you don't, you don't. "

I begin to understand, thanks.
