Title: What stimulates the brain to fall in love?

Benedicte Hagen asked the Naked Scientists:

Hi,

Great show! (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/podcasts/)

I have a question about how the brain works when it comes to falling in love with someone, other than that it controls the release of different chemicals through the body.

What actually stimulates the brain to fall in love in the first place?

Best regards,

What do you think?

I once fell in love with a coworker with whom i had worked for 6 months and felt nothing of the kind.  Then one day she comes over and tells me she's been accepted to grad school and sort of hangs around awkwardly after i congratulate her...and...BOOM!  Suddenly i'm off my nut.  I think it has to do with the body language...
