Title: How can I improve my underwater pressure tolerance?
Post by: kaukcz on 22/06/2008 22:26:35
I know that when you dive you are supposed to pinch your nose and pop your ears, but this doesn't work well for me.  Are there any other ways to keep my ears from hurting like mad.  Would ear plugs help?

NO! Never ever wear ear plugs. It can really mess up your ears if you do. You may need to work on your 'popping' technique - it is difficult to describe but it needs practice. You can do it as you read this. OTOH, you may have rather bad catarrh and your tubes are proving difficult to get air into. Go to the Doctor about it.
