Title: Why don't our eyes autocorrect when upside down?

   Hi

Can you please tell me, Why don't your eyes or vision auto correct like an iPhone if your upside down. why do our eyes see up side down ? I understand reflection but not the upside down issue ??

Correct they do but it takes a few days for the brain to reprogram, experiments have been done where people wear inverting spectacles and after a few days they can function normally

It's important to know which way up you are, or you will spill your beer. iPhones don't drink.

In fact the lens casts an inverted image on the retina, but the brain assigns up and down in the decoding process, based on the signals from your semicircular canals. Prolonged exposure to offset gravitation, as occurs when circling a plane, can alter your perception of "upright" to the point that the horizon looks wrong when you break off to land.
