Title: Will oestrogen blockers or anti-oestrogen drugs make me grow taller?

I have read articles stating that oestrogen blockers and anti-oestrogens can delay the maturation of epiphyseal growth plates. However, I have asked my biology teacher about this and she told me flat out that it was all genetics. Are there any endocrinologists or auxologist out there that can help me confim this? I have asked my doctor about this and he said that doctors have limited knowledge on oestrogen since they primarily study medicine and don't go deep into depth on bone structures and hormones.

I am also taking 6-oxo oestrogen blockers...anybody know any harmful side effects?

If they were not prescribed by someone who told you about side effects you probably shouldn't be taking them.

I am not an endocrinologist, but I have a lot of experience of height issues and the treatments for them, and I am not aware of any biomedical or chemical process that can prevent the fusing of the growth plates.

Even if you could, I'm not sure what other side effects that would have on your health and growth...

no one grows once they've passed age 20 (maybe 21). Biology, physiology, genetics....they've already conspired to plot your course for you. The healthiest thing to do is to accept yourself, no matter your height  [:)] I was obsessed with how to grow taller (http://www.gettallershoes.com) (I used to wear lift shoes, click to see them), I used to actively search for any piece of information or evidence I could find, nothing ever ended up being effective.
