Title: Do magnets effect the electrons in atoms in any way?

Do magnets effect the electrons in atoms in any way.
Can you list all the ways the electron can be effected like speed-ed up, or slowed down.
Not much info on the internet on how magnets effect electrons.
Thank you for your help, anything helps.

Magnets definitely interact with electrons in atoms.
