The latest Dubai invention is an apartment building in which each floor rotates independently.

So, every time one steps out of the elevator, the apartment could literally be in a different place.

Won't they have a problem with CENTRIFUGAL force?
I assume they give the tenants a speed limit.
But, that doesn't mean that some teenagers won't try to hack the system when their parents are out and convert their bedrooms into a carnival ride.

The construction cost will be phenomenal, who will actually be able to afford to live in such an expensive tower?
I guess we'll find out when it is completed in 2010.
What??? 2010???
Now I'm no mathematician, but even I can see that summat just don't add up there. Follow the link and you will see, and I quote, "The amazing Dynamic Tower of Dubai is scheduled to be ready in 2010."
The bottom has dropped out of the property market in Dubai, so they'll have to find some other gullible bunch of half-baked morons who will agree to having this wildly expensive tower built in their city at a time of financial instability.
Now, where are you going to find such a bunch of money grabbing, greedy, overpaid, mutants prepared to gamble with other peoples' money on a highly speculative and risky investment? What you need is a city which already has a multitude of multi-million pound office and living space constructions under way which have not yet sold a single square inch of the available space.
Now, what city might measure up to the above requirements???
Surely not here!
