Just wondering. Cuz we have all the ones listed above in our nearest city. And well I don't think anyone uses anything other then Verizon andd Alltel. My parents used to have Alltel and wow all I have to say is they stink even though they have good planes. Verizon to me might just be the best.
Please vote, reply, and tell whihc you voted for and if you have swiched why you did and all the other little goodies! Thanks

I've used Alltel for about 6 years and have 8 lines with them.

So they must have better coverage down there then. Cuz it really stinks up here.
-
Yep, it's good here, but when we went to Michigan it was horrible.

You are somewhat focussed on the US market. Every country has its own carriers (sometimes there are linkups between carriers in different countries, and sometimes a carrier in one country does operate under the same name in another country - particularly within the EU - but for the most part, carriers are different in each country.
-
Oh I thought I replyed George. I said yes I know I focused on US market since I didn't know any of the UK carriers. That's why I included other. And if you are willing to give me a few I will put them in there!

In the US and I'm assuming it is the same for the EU there are a variety of companies to choose from. In Canada we have 3 - Bell, Telus, and Rogers. The lack of competition has allowed the companies to gouge consumers by having insanely high rates, especially when it comes to data transfer. Hence my surprise when I learn that alot of you access this site from your mobile phones.
I remember last summer when trying to find out when my parents flight from Glasgow was to land, I checked their airlines website for a number to call from my cell. Then next month I got my phone bill and that small online inquiry (3 pages were loaded) I was charged 13 dollars.
Mobile phone rates in Canada almost make me want to move to the US... almost.

I hope the rates get better because I'm dying for a Blackberry or an iPhone but if rates stay the same there is no way I could afford one [:)]

broadband phone access 24/7 no data cap (well there is, but high enough that i get nowhere near it) all for the princly sum of £7.50p per month. that is 15ish canadian dollers or US$ 1,000,000 at current exchange rates

I have an 02/Nokia mobile phone but I don't know quite what the difference between the mobile phone is compared the cell phones, as I am aware that you
can make calls with both.
I will vote if this appropriate.

The only difference is the difference between English and American.
Technically, a mobile phone could refer to any type of radio phone, including non-cellular technology, but in practice, the two are these days regarded as synonymous.
