Ladies, Gentlemen, Transgenders,
As a sheepy, I of course have to endure a sheep dip once a month ! I'm not particularly fond of it, being dumped into a vat of gawwd knows what but if I have to suffer the slings and arrows then so be it (note the Shakespearean reference there ? [;)])

Me Bracing Myself Yesterday !
Both Gerald and I ewes a shampoo & conditioner all-in-one !..we do not need to take two bottles into the shower !
....but, *le sigh*..I'm confewesed !!..Shampoo is designed to lift dirt and stuff off my hair and conditioner is designed to put some conditioning stuff in my hair..One is positive and the other is negative.
How do they achieve this in ONE bottle ? surely they should counteract or stick together or something !! two bottles I understand...one bottle I do not !
Ewe see, I just do not know..I want to know ! if ewe also don't know then I am sure ewe also want to know too.
lets hope someone who knows will come and let us know !

What also confuses me, is that ewe sheepies have a good old dip to wash your curly locks, yet ewe supply us all with a product we put in shampoo; lanolin! So why do you need Heatherrelina Gobstopper the 3rd to give you quick once over, when you make your own personal supply of hair treatmenty stuff.
BTW, does Heatherrelina Gobstopper have a sister who wouldn't mind popping round to my place to give me a quick once over?

Id love a tortoise, but I want one from a baby, and I just don't have space for a tank/viv with heating etc.

Unfortunately, far too many retailers would be happy to sell you a vivarium or tank as an indoor tortoise housing; they would be very wrong to do so, they need a tortoise table.

Yep I know the things you mean,big square thingy so they have room to mooch about, thats what I meant I didnt have room for but couldn't think of the name.
I will get one when one the kids leaves home... I am told they will do....eventually!

Yes indeedy, sorry sheepy, seem to have buggered your thread a tad.
Well now, all this business of 'Ph balanced' shampoo, me thinks can't be right. As far as I know, shampoo should be mildly acidic to get the hair to 'open up'. Then a conditioner should be mildly alkaline to get it to 'close down' again, so giving it a smooth & shiny feel & appearance.
So my guess is that the combined conditioning shampoo, which is fairly Ph neutral, probably doesn't do so good a job of cleaning the hair as a straightforward shampoo would do, or condition the hair as well as a straightforward conditioner.
These compromise products probably do a good enough job for the vast majority, but I think if your hair needed to be A1 (e.g. for modelling) or you had a very dirty job (e.g. coal miner) you might notice the difference between separate products and the combined product.

OT- I always figured it was a more 'enriched' shampoo than a shampoo and conditioner combined, you can wash your hair with a decent shampoo and not need conditioner ( especially when its short).
