It is often suggested that the Universe arose from a grapefruit size object that could have decided to spontaneously expand.
A previous Universe that had collapsed to Planck density would fit the bill.

Seems reasonable to me syhprum, and it will collapse again at some time in the far distant future and another Big Bang will start the whole process all over again.

Found this book discussing it. Just want to share
"There is also that 'olive sized' possibility, then the 'toothpick' could be seen as our arrow of the time, and the gases? Well, a cold compressed, sufficiently dry well shaken martini, possibly inflating faster than light would definitely be able to give me gases, so why not a universe? Could very well be the reason to my aversion to martini? But the question remains? Why green? how does it fit in with the black variety, there are dark ones loose too. Questions abounds, be assured though dear reader, all will be revealed in good time?"
Sad to say, someone had used those last pages for some unsavory mission, so I just leaved it where I found it, flushing first, naturally.
