Heat and Kinetic Energy

In today's world we describe heat as vibration or kinetic energy of particles but according to my research this is not true but according to me increasing heat can increase kinetic energy this is true but actually heat is not kinetic energy of particle's because we can see around us one such example of this contradiction is electromagnetic waves because low energy waves causes more heat than high energy waves. and also many other conditions are there where present theory contradicts. So, my project is to find out what this heat actually is.
