Title: Do COMT inhibitors cause a constant state of raised adrenaline?
Post by: davekm on 13/05/2012 12:12:35
COMT inhibitors stop COMT from breaking down adrenaline.
I hypothesise that this causes:

1)an increase in adrenaline.
2) An adrenaline rush lasts longer as the adrenaline can't be broken down.

I ask a green tea drinker. EGCG in green tea is a potent COMT inhibitior.

I've found out that COMT inhibitors don't increase adrenaline, as other enzymes break it down. So, Green tea is not bad for you.
