He knows that you are all thinking about him. Ill get an address and such for the hospital, just PM me if you would like to have it. My wife was with him for a few hours today, but he mostly slept. After classes I came up, and he looked better than yesterday.

Once the pancrratic enzymes return to normal the fun is just beginning. THIS is when to real fecesmee6ts the fan. You can't eat, sleep, have a restricted diet. I feel almost as bad as I did last Sat.

But the nurses who cater to my EVERY wish add quite a bit to feeling poorly.

Being serious again and a vitamin-codliveroil fanatic...be sure to:

"Ask your doctor if parenteral thiamine is good for you!"

You are probably getting it, but...you never know.
We don't stock thiamine(B1) and we may get severe deficiency even after 2-3weeks.
Pancreatits and thiamine cross 21 citations on PubMed. All serious stuff.

This reporter having "compensated" the delivery van driver from Bob's Liquor Barn with appropriate 'favors,' we learned from this driver he had witnessed King J.B., still with an intravenous medication tube in his left arm, resisting the charms of a a stunning, nekkid blond while trying to get the crowd to quiet down. It seemed the Denizens of the Morgue were being reanimated by the commotion.

The party shall continue for a while in hospital - but not this one it seems. Post by: demografx on 18/09/2010 20:07:47: FWIW, after my open heart surgery, they couldn't figure out what was causing my atrial fibrillation. Finally, they reasoned that one of the IV medications was partially to blame, and switching to pill form helped immensely. (They learned somehow that pills did not have the side effects that IV-dosing did for this particular medication). That plus plate shocks to the heart (just like in the movies) got me back to "normal" (which I'll never be). And all of the above is stated with a caveat, "if my memory is right"!

This post is probably as useful as our vestigial organs.

You won't like me for saying this, but I am quite glad they are keeping there another week, at least there they can monitor you properly and respond to any complications. I know you are bored witless and fed up of being treated as a diagnosis rather than a person, but after so long of your symptoms being ignored, it is better they err on the side of caution.

As for strength back, it takes a lot to wear those horrendous trousers of yours, so make sure you are well recovered before stepping out of your pyjamas [;)]

The Royal life improves, and at times not slowly. Just being active for the 4 hours or so a day since We have been in the physical rehabilitation facility has wrought a very tangible improvement in strength, mental well being, (We have exceeded our previous intelligence levels) social interactivity - nice young nurses - and an assortment of new and wonderful diversion, including a new set of pains that here to for have not been experienced by our corporeal, earthly, body. Our Spiritual Body is, We being a member of the ruling royalty, part of the Divine. It is why I have the Divine right to rule.

There is just one complication - Our blood sugar is at times too high. We have never had any diabetic problems before but as the pancreas is where insulin is produced and it has been sorely abused, this just may, and hopefully is, temporary. We still have much healing to do.

Update: Recovery proceeds apace. The fatigue of failing health for three years is rather quickly dissolving but there is a heck of a way to go. We have not been strong for over a year with decreasing health ever day since that time. About 2 weeks before hospitalization We thought that the inevitable outcome was to be in a nursing home (elder care facility) by October. We believe that would have been in one soon had the acute manifestation of the pancreatitis not occurred.

There is one major problem at this facility. The diet. Not only is it not very good to begin with, but the dietitian is unable or unwilling to provide a pancreas-friendly diet: low fat, high protein, preferably vegetable protein, and no geriatric portions. We need food to build the 30 or so pounds of muscle mass to rebuild - didn't eat for 3 weeks while suffering the acute phase the pancreatitis.

I will make all speed and lengthen my stride to come to your side Sire, do not despair. Bringing with me a strict diet of such vegetarian delicatessen as the single malt, the answer to all occasions Sire, slightly tanged with garlic and the root of, let us name not that now, a experiment that, if I may add, have given this wholesome elixir a whole new dimension of fruity zaniness...

(Anyway, maybe a nurse or two could serve too?

Our sorcerers & mages as well as the Cordoban Physicians have succeeded in driving most of the vile humors out of the corpus royal. Some small residue remains but is at a level at which even an apprentice can manage. With the experts at hand a full recovery is expected. The main problem to then consider is the large amount of muscle wasting that has occurred. We shall be visiting the gym regularly.

Murray has learnt navi from avatar. He has learnt how a new language can be constructed and from that a lot about the structures of other languages. I think there is more than one dimension to learning these constructed languages. what started off with Murray as a bit of a laugh to do has lead him to other areas of learning. Much more productive than watching the TV.

Shazza, we do not include the benefits Murry receives from such endeavors as "wasted time." The persons We speak of are the nerds and geeks with no lives and no imagination whose only outlet is a Star Trek Fan Club. Now THAT to Us is a waste of time.
