Have you ever come inside or gotten in a bath with cold ears or feet, and as soon as they start to warm up, they itch like crazy? I've always wondered what causes this reaction. I know the itch sensation is a mild stimulation of pain receptors, but it doesn't to be caused by either warm or cold temperatures, just the sudden transition from one to the other. I've never noticed it anywhere but ears and feet, especially toes.
