Thought it's about time we shared some of our favourite experiments with food
So if you have some nice secret recipies for us budding scientists to explore, then please submit them here and let us all savour your very own culinary delights.
HMMMMMMMMM Hummmm I can smell something sizzling already.(https://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fclassroomclipart.com%2Fimages%2Fgallery%2FFoods%2FAnimated_Clipart%2Flime.gif&hash=747a306adb545592277b2db0eb2d1596)
My son Jason spent 18 months in Thailand teaching English and brought back some amazingly simple, yet altogether delicious Thai Cuisine that we hope you will enjoy as much as we have. More to follow soon.
Thai Salad
Ingredients
Juice of one lime
Fish Sauce to taste (Use instead of salt and to enhance flavour)
Tin of tune in oil, or spring water, strained.
At least one large chilly finely chopped, we prefer two birdseye chillies to serve three people.
All your usual salad cleaned and chopped, tomatoes takes away heat from the chillies
A few chopped nuts or some pumpkin seeds toasted, or some bacon bits makes a nice change when you want to explore. The addition of mint leaves chopped changes the salad to a Cambodian taste often eaten with Laab
Add all ingredients to bowel and toss until well mixed. Fish sauce is essential but take care as too much can spoil the salad, a few quick shakes about a teaspoon or maybe a little more just experiment to taste.
Verdict Scrumditious [;)]
