Title: Can Lanosterol be used for macular hole medication?
Post by: thedoc on 18/09/2015 07:50:01
Paul asked the Naked Scientists:

It is good to hear of lanosterol in the treatment of cataracts. Is there any chance of a similar chemical being found in the next 2 months to treat macular holes, to avoid surgery and 2 weeks face down, hoping the gas doesn't get to the front of your eye and speed up a cataract?
Well, then you will be able to spend that 2 weeks catching up on all the Naked Scientists podcasts (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/podcasts/)!
Thanks!
What do you think?
