Title: Strange Quirk
Post by: neilep on 30/01/2006 06:45:21
Why does the word 'LISP ' have an 'S' in it ?

It's not right !

Men are the same as women.... just inside out !!

Probably for the same reason "Dyslexia" is so difficult to spell. [:)]

To answer your question, "Lisp" is onomatopoetic.

(This is my once-in-a-lifetime chance to use this seven-syllable word. If I had missed this opportunity I would have been spitting mad, cracking up, and really pissed off. I would have banged my fist on the desk which would have caused my computer to crash, my dog to bark and my cat to hiss.)
