Title: Does better nutrition make art more enjoyable?
Post by: Christopher on 19/02/2009 13:30:02
Christopher asked the Naked Scientists:

Positive effects of art & music on health have been said to have benefits
on mental health.

I'm wondering if increased health, through nutrition and exercise, could effect my capacity for appreciating a score of music or vivid portrait.  If I were to go to an art gallery today and be of average health then come back a few months from now having increased my health substantially through nutrition and exercise then return to the art and music gallery could my brain be more stimulated by the same pieces of art and music or all art & music in general due a hopeful increase in healthier brain cell activity?

What do you think?

It certainly won't hurt to try.  If it works, you might start a trend or find a market opportunity.
