This first rock I found recently in Africa. The top shiny layer is also contained inside the rock some. This is the more interesting rock though. It weighs a little more than one pound. It was found when plowing a field. The cubic shapes look like pyrite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrite#Gallery) (which in your case has gone a bit rusty).

If you right click you can see them on flickr. I'll work on getting them up through photobucket. I'm not sure why it didn't work.

RD is correct. That brown rock is definitely some sort of pyrite nodule (now oxidized). Can't bring up the picture for the first rock?
