Title: Could someone recommend an open-source email client?
Post by: imatfaal on 11/05/2010 13:57:25
Hello Everyone,

Any recommendations for a good open-source email client - I currently use Thunderbird (and have done for many years) but the new version is very slow and has lost many features that I loved.

It's either a new client or reversion back to V2 and I am not sure I how that will work.

Cheers
Matthew

I've been using the KDE mail client - Kmail - for years, as it allows me to check multiple mailboxes, both local and remote from a single login.  It is quite happy to run under Gnome but you'll need to install quite a bit of additional KDE infrastructure to support it.  If you're using KDE then you should already have most of it installed.
