Dearest Frenchologists,
As a sheepy I course speak 'sheep'...Speaking is my all time favourite way of verbally communicating and conveying a dialogue in a spoken way !
Look , here is a frenchy person.

As ewe can see there is no stereotyping whatsoever !
If I were to have a dialogue with a frenchy bloke or blokett the converstaion I would have would most probably be over sooner than if I was having the exact same conversation with an English bloke or blokett.
The reason for this is that Frenchy people speak faster !....why's that then ?...why do French people typically speak faster than others nationality's ?
Ewe see..I do not know...and the only way to know this is to ask people who do know... and that's ewe !!

EDIT: Having reviewed the above post, we would like to make it clear that Geezer was merely pointing out that it takes more words to make a point in French than it does in English. Geezer's statement should in no way be construed as having any pejorative connotations towards our European friends, even if they do eat far too much garlic.

As a firm believer in empirical study I have undertaken to start learning Frenchy language... which is nice. It is the course master who has said that Frenchy peeps speak faster than english peeps !
Phew !....I'm glad ewe cleared that up Geezer about our onion loving garlic ingesting non bathing frenchy friends !.....DOH !! [;)]...oops !!
Remember....i do not bathe either...nor wash...not clean myself in any way !... apart from on my birthday !

Glad its not just me then "plus lentement s'il vous plait" is my most commonly used french phrase...
(although after mechncial difficulties on my last trip "le camping car ne marche pas" and "Avez vous liquide de refroidissement moteur" and "Je cherche le mécanicien automobile" got used quite a bit too )
I guess it is the same as any accent - people from south Wales speak welsh quicker than people from north Wales

When I'm in Germany, I can order in a cafe without any problems. "Zwei große Bier bitte" never fails.
However, when I try the same thing in France "Donnez moi deux bières plus grande pronto, mouche", some prat always hands me the English menu.

I surprised everyone a while ago, when I ordered the meal in perfect French............... It was a Chinese restaurant.
