Title: What is your favorite winter/holiday activity?
Post by: Karen W. on 10/12/2009 04:51:51: I love music, singing of carols, and the pleasant feelings decorating the tree, and making ready all the glistening shining ornaments and tinsel etc...

What is it that floats your boat during winter activity, or the Holidays, that is if you celebrate them..?

If you do not, what is it that you do do that makes you happy?

Post by: Mr. Scientist on 10/12/2009 06:11:07: I'm not too skinny, but lanky enough to say that i have an extreme cold thing when winter comes in, as much as the snow in the mountains could entice me ( but never does) to walk up there. Nonetheless, nature itself is adorable on all levels, as much as the trees, moss, canyons, rivers, naturally-made paths into the hot summer and yet pollen-endoused atmosphere...It makes me feel very alive, unlike the coldness of the winter. Tends to bring me down too for more... peronal reasons i would rather not explain :)

Post by: Karen W. on 10/12/2009 06:25:05: Thats cool I hate the very cold.. I like the rain and storms but the cold and I do not get on very well. The winter becomes very depressing when the cold is here and settled into my bones.. It gets miserable and like last night and tonight my heat is blasting... it was 19 degrees and I am a gal that is cold at 65 and 70 degrees F. I like it about 75 to 86 degrees in the shade.. LOL.. not in direct sun at 86.. must be shade so 75 to 80 is perfect.
Last night pipes broke and it was miserably cold...

naure is great ..I like natural trails in the woods and trees etc.. I cannot hike though anymore with my legs and hips.. maybe one day I will again... we'll see.

Do you have nice places to walk to where you are?
