Title: Is there an ether?
Post by: Geezer on 07/12/2009 19:23:41
Come on now, either there is an ether or their ain't an ether. Either way you'd think we would know by now. Some people say it's neither here nor there either, whether there is an ether, isn't an ether, or neither.

Ooooo! I've got a headache.

Yes, I believe I can smell the aether now. Makes my head feel quite light and all fuzzy it does!

In Belgium, we still have an ether.

When for example a radio show goes live, you have the red light in studio that says "On air" going on.
In Flemish, the translation for "on the air" is "in de ether".

It either connects to an ethernet file server over ethernet or wireless links. Either way you could call it over the ether. The wireless is maybe even more etherial than ethernet. (No, not either net)

We must also ask if there is an either.

We must also ask if there is an either.

Well, that depends on how you pronounce it. If you say "either", then no. On the other hand, if you say "either", then it could be true. Either way, either of us could find it quite confusing.
