What exactly is mass energy?
mass-energy is merely a different name of mass. The term "energy" is appended to remind the reader of the mass-energy relationship E = mc^2.
However I've contacted an expert I know just to make 100% certain that I too understand this correctly and have the correct definition. However in the meantime please see the dictionary definition at
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/mass+energy
mass energy - (physics) the mass of a body regarded relativistically as energy

Thanks Pmb, but what is meant by: "regarded relativistically as energy?"
