Title: Flailing Limbs While Drifting off to Sleep
Post by: Reh? on 24/04/2009 04:51:42
This happens to me on occasion, but never when I go to sleep at night - only when I try to take a nap in the middle of the day. The very instant my mind is drifting off to sleep, I am immediately awoken to one of my limbs thrashing violently in the air. Somtimes it is one of my arms, but usually it's a leg. My first concious thought after JUST falling asleep is panic, and the feeling of my leg flailing involuntarily up into the air. I can`t fall asleep again after this, so I just get up. Anybody know why this might happen?

I notice myself doing this too sometimes, although not as violent.
