Feedback: Nuclear Reactor waste can be burnt

Bob Ginsberg asked the Naked Scientists:
The answer to the question of nuclear waste missed one important solution that could be much better than burying. There are several reactor designs around that would actually "burn" that waste until there are only short-lived isotopes left. This short-lived waste is much less toxic and obviously much easier to deal with. A piece on these reactor designs would be right up your alley.
What do you think?
