Were the originally part of the bridge? Perhaps from the under part of the bridge arches or perhaps it was a an ornamental end or something?

Was it originally pillar type hollow dome which they cut in half for some reason?

Was the whole bridge and dome originally part of a castle or palace or something like that?

The bridge looks like the London bridge transported from UK to Arizona.
Perhaps the grafittied alcove is a remnant of the bridge in the UK.

I am taking it that the second shot of the bridge was taken from over the top of the dome as I see the right top corner or back of the dome with same color graffiti over the dome top in the lower left corner of the picture! Is that correct??

The whole thing was a farce. The old London Bridge needed to come down as it was too old & decrepit to handle the amount of traffic (or something like that). The American who bought it thought he was buying TOWER BRIDGE, the famous London landmark.

This is Tower Bridge...
