Cleaning ears and coughing
« on: 16/10/2007 18:38:24 »
This may seem and odd thing to ask about but it's been baffling me for a while. I my brother and my father have all noticed that when cleaning our left ear with a cotton bud, we cough. My mother does not get the same effect. It may be a male thing or that we are all just wired wrong. Has anyone else experienced this?

Welcome to the forum Lazy,

It has happened to many people but your eatachian tubes all dran into the back of your throat so pushing or forcing trapped air back through the tube onto the throat could possibly make you cough. I am no expert but have done the same and it is not uncommon!
