Dearest All Academics Of High Brow Wonder And Awe Making Of Me,

We are all so lucky to have you peeps contribute your wealth of knowledge here.

Here is my pool:

It's nice isn't it ?.....Next week........ construction starts on the main adult pool !

Anyway...my question is this.....apart from becoming very wrinkly....would there be any long term detriment to my health if I stayed in the water all the time ?..be it chlorinated pool water, sea water or just fresh water ?...when I say " all the time " I mean literally all the time !!

Thank you all very much.

Can't wait to see the hot tub ;D

So long as there's a poolside bar, I can't imagine any downside.

I would think your skin would begin to get peely and perhaps become yucky.

I would think you would also begin to absorb more of the water and grow a fine set of gills and your skin be replaced by beautiful shiny colorful scales that you will then share with all those you hold so dear! LOL!

Sorry I could not resist!

Sheepies should not stay in the water too long - ruins the wool.
Bad wool means no sweaters and no sweaters means.......
 ;) ;D

There is no contraindication that I'm aware of.

Having said that, it is however adviseable to have adequate water circulation and replacement in place for the duration of the proposed experiment particularly should the testing period exceed.... erm.... let's say.... hmm.... depending on bladder size, factoring in possible speed of dehydration due to wind/sun exposure..... 5 hours;
*IF* no fermented beverages have been consumed within 3 hours prior to commencement of experient.
If not, then the previous estimate will need to be shortened to approx. 2 hours.

For world record you'd have to beat one week though!

Quote
Illusionist David Blaine, whose week-long stay in a water-filled sphere on the plaza at Lincoln Center captivated the city, last night failed to break the world's record for holding one's breath under water. Shackled with handcuffs at eight different points on his body, the daredevil performance artist managed to hold his breath for seven minutes and eight seconds before giving up and being helped to safety.
Despite the failure, Mr. Blaine apparently did set a world's record for being continuously submerged in water. Even his personal physician, Dr. Murat Gunel, had advised him to abandon the attempt.

Looks like a altered picture who is it supposed to be? The face seems to have been added to the head..But I could be wrong but it looks a bit off with the hair and the back of the head!
