Are those your own eyes Variola?

Nope, but they are not far off. Mine are accompanied by specs. :)

@Variola:  If you thought the last typo was FOG worthy, then check out this one:

White bread and the wonder of enzymes

"Take half a slice of bread and chew it and chew it and chew it! Even if the bread becomes disgusting, you should still keep chewing amd remember - don't swallow or you'll spoil the experiment!"

I do realize that typos may be of much smaller priority than Bug Fixes or other enhancements, but I thought I'd just point it out anyway.

You are really getting in the FOG mood aren't you DrC  ;D

I'm still baffled as to why the biography on user profiles reads in a strange way.

Amd.....that's my sort of typo!!! One I would often be caught doing. Hence I get fogged into oblivion on here!

I think I should give myself a surname. DrChemistryFOG. Sounds good to me :)

I checked what could cause the weird biography and I think it happens because of the following reason:

The Text Area allows you to make newlines, however when it is inserted into the database it only recognizes text (probably because of the settings of the table in the database. If that is the case changing TEXT to VARCHAR [talking from a MySQL point of view] might do the trick. I can check that once I find time to do it), and hence the breaklines are turned into the text version of that very tag. The profile page can only display text and not html tags, it therefore posts the message just directly from the database without recognizing the html code. The biography should be stripped for html tags and then replaced with tags that would work in that very system.

That could be the problem, although I fear it is not that simple. That is my best guess without having a look at the code. But I think we can leave that for the Admins :)

Umm... was that English??  ;D

I will take your word for it... I expect the tech support will sort it soon!

I told you my English could be awkward sometimes ;)

So do I. But by the way, just for reference, did this problem occur recently, or has it always been like that?

Undeleteable post.

I tried to delete a post I made, but it was not deleted, instead I got this error message ...

Quote
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare undeletemessage() (previously declared in /home/vhost/typo.nakeddiscovery.com/html/forum/Sources/RemoveTopic.php:401) in /home/vhost/typo.nakeddiscovery.com/html/forum/Sources/RemoveTopic.php  on line 532

Update: 5th April,
now when I try to delete the undeletable post I get the message below, (instead of the one above)...

Where exactly do you live? and who is your ISP? The images get destroyed after you look at them, so it could be something very strange about how your ISP is working.

As some people may know I have quite literally been driven to distraction because I receive this ALL THE TIME !!

and ONLY on this website !!.....I can't even post this post without having to leave it and try again after ten minutes !!.......it's either a router issue, a PC issue or a ISP issue and each one keeps blaming the other..

So......at great cost (and to show dedication)..I have decided to move ISP's where I will receive a new router and much higher speeds !...All in the name of TNS !

How's that for commitment ! ?

I think there are many that think you should be committed are very committed
 ;D

Joking aside - I get more delays on NSF than on any other site I use regularly - but none bad enough to prompt a no connection error message

hee hee !..thanks Chum !

That is interesting regarding the delays you experience...although not to my level of ubiquity (on this site)....... the fact that it is predominantly here I find fascinating !
