Sounds that disorientate me..
« on: 27/12/2007 18:56:38 »
Hey guys. My alarm clock in my room, when set off, makes a kind of alarm noise. I sometimes hear sounds that resembles the alarm noise, and i feel very..strange? Why is this?

Can it be used to trigger other things also?

Thanks

You have probably "programmed" yourself to respond quickly to this sound when you get up because you really want to get up on time. So when you hear it other times you have the same adrenalin reaction.  There are other people who have probably programmed themselves to ignore ther alarm clocks because they do not want to get up.

I have a nephew who is highly sensitive to sounds, smell, textures and tastes. It is just the way he is made. This hypresensativity is somtimes bothersome to him but he can deal with it now that he has spoken to his parents about it, their dodctor has examined him and the techniques for dealing with the sensitivity have been taugh him. He is 12 years old and just developed this a few months ago.

Good luck, you can adapt.
