Yet another answer would be the uterus- it has to hold tight for 9 months then push the baby out. As such it's the only muscle that pushes.

it's highly unlikely the uterus tops a quad. and the uterus doesn't hold tight at all, the cervix keeps it all in... other than that.. :)

Cervix means neck. IIRC officially it's the cervix uteri ie the neck of the womb.
I'd need to do a bit more research but I think it's part of the same thing.

During childbirth the cervix needs to dialate to 10 centimeters for a safe delivery of the baby.. sometimes this can be a problem.. but all those musclesI would think could be cluped together in a group to perfom this expulsion from the female body.. You also use back muscles hips thighs etc..

ok wait, we are now talking about a group of muscles to expel a child.. I'm still not convinced that the uterus is stronger than one of the larger muscles in the body.

What about the heart - that pushes too...

what about the heart?

Yeah that's an organ though? it is a muscel thouhg too lol ugh

darn this is a good subject. lol i dont' even know..

it has to work 24 7. i Bet it is the strongest one!

Those were from page 1, But I am not sure what Ryan has decided on what kind of muscle he wants to use for his question.

Thats what I thought on page 1 until all the net things pointed to other things.. I figured the heart works every minute if every day and never stops so I figured it would be pretty strong!

Chris do you think that also.. At least now it has had two votes eh?

I think if we are ever going to come to some sort of agreement we need to define what we mean by strongest.

Durability, work load or single movement?

14 yr olds are the most important, since they will be dictating how I spend my retirement! (If I manage to get there)

And yep, I kind of like it here. You all have accents ;)
