They are all farmyard creatures and sold for food also in relation to cows,
sheep their skins are used for say sheepskins and shoes or coats, bags.
Ducks for their feathers - e.g. pillows and for food too.

These are FANTASTIC answers...all of them !!

In every essence of the words those answers are unique and special...one offs !!....alas not the answer that this particular query poses !

These three animals have something very specific in common.....the answer is full of......recalescent nitrogen, oxygen, and minute amounts of other gases !!!

This is a wild guess and I'm sure I'm wrong, but very recently I read something about rice cultivation and fish farming and it involved ducks, sheep and chickens among other critters.

Have they all been to space on a mission? Perhaps floated or gone to the moon or some such place? A first space flight together.

*le sigh*

THE HISTORY OF HOT AIR BALLOONING

On the 19th September 1783 Pilatre De Rozier, a scientist, launched the first hot air balloon called 'Aerostat Reveillon'. The passengers were a sheep, a duck and a rooster and the balloon stayed in the air for a grand total of 15 minutes before crashing back to the ground.

Poor Neil

 ;)

 ;D

and poor animals

- though I bet the duck had the best time telling the rooser off for not even remembering what flight felt like

And then it all crashed you say?
Hmmm - perhaps that's the first time then that the DNA got entangled

I heard that  when the balloon landed the rooster had an injured foot- due to the sheep stepping on him!
