What a horrible day
« on: 20/03/2008 21:48:58 »
We had to go to Kent today (3 hours each way) for a funeral. The journey there was fine, but the drive home was horribubble.

There was an overturned lorry on the motorway causing a 14 mile tailback. We decided to go the wrong way round the M25 (London orbital motorway) to avoid most of it. Yeah, that was a good idea - until we hit the roadworks.

It has taken us 5 hours to get back with 2 squawking brats in the back of the car.

Oh deep joy!  [:(!]

That's why I always carried sufficient alcoholic beverages on trips, if it didn't quiet the brats, there was always enough left for me so that I no longer cared.  ;D ;D

It times like that when you need Homer Simpsons bubbledome car... or Get Smarts cone of silence... or Superman to spin the earth backwards and reverse time to a point where you didn't have the drive and/or children...  not that TV has any influence on me...

Have you tried binding and gaging them and putting them in the trunk - oops, sorry there - the boot?

Yes, but unfortunately Sandra's car is a hatchback.

You could strap them to the roof...or the hood!

Now that, James, is a gem.

P.S. Can I have the girlie walk in front with a red flag?
