My friend has really bad brain and hand coordination, and finds it hard to write, catch a ball, play table tennis!

What makes them have this?

I think it's really called Hand-Eye coordination (though of course that thing called the brain comes into it)

I bet your friend excels in other skills though !....

Are we perchance talking about dyspraxia here?

we're going to have to start a lengthy process of elimination here if you can't give us any more information about your friend.

is he or she frequently drunk for instance?

has he or she ever suffered a severe head trauma, or been in a coma?

it sounds as though your friend may have developmental dyspraxia.

assuming he or she has always been that way, and it didn't manifest later in life.

this proplem, as i understand it, often (but not always) occurs in conjunction with other developmental difficulties such as ADD, dyslexia, or autism.

although it is worth noting that there is a wide variation in the normal range of motor skills, and some people, although clinically "normal", are just not very athletic, and may be clumsy.

Nah he was always like this. Pretty clumbsy, but he's quite clever, but he has to write on the computer! It's not fair lol
