100 "continuous" (till you can't go anymore) sit ups?

Or 10 sets of 10?

I would go for the 10 sets of 10, at least at the start. If you're starting off with a large set, you'll tend to get more sore and fatigued as you go...lose concentration of your technique and get a bit sloppy. Smaller sets with a short recovery phase in between can help cut out the 'dud' situps/pushups. Hope that helps!

If you go for higher resistance, lower frequency exercise you will build more muscle mass. lower resistance, higher frequency will still build your muscle but in a way that optimises endurance over power.

Think of it like a V8 engine vs. a smaller 4 cylinder engine. for the same amount of fuel, the smaller engine can take  you a much longer distance, but with less resistance (the car is lighter). But the V8 is more powerful and can move alot of weight very quickly, but also runs out of fuel quicker.

If you get to a point we're you're happy and you'd just like to maintain it instead of continueing to increase it, you can taper off in your exercise a bit, still do it regularily but not as much.

I got told it was the way round in the gym. Like if you do 10 sets of 10 then that builds up more strength, because the muscle has time 2 re-adjust and doesn't rip as wide. (like when your muscles grow they rip apart and then new muscle grows in the rips) But if you do like 100sit ups in a row, then it just all rips at once and more muscle is made.
