How heavy is 1 litre of oil?

Nandi asked the Naked Scientists:

let me start with how heavy (in kg) is 1 litre? oil is "lighter" than water, so if 1 lt water = 1kg. how much would 1lt oil weight.. and if how many litres would 1kg of stones be?
